The Grand Opening event for Exclusive Motors Acquisitions and Sales department and customer appreciation party was this last Saturday night and- what a night it was! Great cars, great friends, great food and GREAT JAZZ!! Somehow Great Jazz and Cars go together like Great Wine and Cheese…it just works!
Award wining Jazz pianist Rob Mullins and the Rob Mullins band were there to entertain our guests and they rocked…sorry, JAZZED the house! Bubba Jackson From KKJZ was there to M.C. the event; Bubba…you done good! Everyone should wake up to your radio show in the morning ..just dial in 88.1 on your radio/alarm before you go to sleep tonight!!!!! Wake to to great tunes rather than crappy news…if everyone did, the world might be better off for it.
Our good friend Tony a2z was our special guest and is certainly one of the finest race car drivers to ever come from these shores. Thanks “T“ !
Greg Johnson and his wonderful wife Debbie brought their very rare Jaguar long nosed “D” Type. Only 10 of these cars were built, 7 have survived and only 3 of them live here in the States. This particular car was driven in its day by non-other than Mike Hawthorne. What a great car!!! THANKS GREG!!!!
We would like to thank Bill and all of his “mates” from Gaylord’s for bringing some very, very cool trucks!
AND, we personally thank: Bonnie, Jeff, Heather, Shelli and Jen for all of their help…We could not have pulled this off without you!!! A special thanks to Above All Catering (call Maria, she does a fine job!)
Both Ron and I would very much like to thank all our friends and guests for coming, it was a terrific evening, we hope y’all had a great time.
We may just have to do this again; and soon!
Klaus and Ron

Our good friend Jay Engel examines some of the worlds best model cars. Jay writes for great publications like Autoweek and knows his models!
Most of us think of the beautiful automobiles we all revere are
actually rolling works of art. The Delahayes, Bugattis, Duesenbergs,
Mercedes, etc all qualify for this category. The appreciation we all
share is now beginning to extend to cars in scale; exact scale models
of so many vehicles that a collection of all that are available might
fill the entire main floor of the L.A. Convention Center! The scale
models discussed here will be restricted to the creme de la creme, so
to speak: model cars for the connoisseur collector.
Such a model is the spectacular 1/12 scale replication of the 2003
Mercedes Benz MacLaren SLR Coupe.

This 1965 Mustang Convertible does not pretend to be anything other than what it is….just a really, really nice car that can be driven and enjoyed; just as it is.
The car was born in Dearborn Michigan in 1965 as a “C” code car with a 289 Cubic Inch V8 and an automatic Transmission.
The 289 has been warmed over to a very nice running 302 and it runs STRONG and the engine is bone dry.
The Silver-Blue paint is exceptional and the interior is tastefully done in Cream Beige with Blue Accents. The car has a very nice teak steering wheel and a custom Center Console; installed to allow for additional storage space……and for those of you who care; cup holders
The Top is new and looks it.
The car rides on brand new Dunlop Sp Sport Radial tires. The 5 spoke “American Racing” like wheels are damage free, are period for the car and look great!!!
The car has been upgraded with front disc brakes….nice to have…it actually stops.
The car has power steering and COLD A/C.
A GREAT stereo has been installed and most certainly can be heard with the top down and is equipped with AM/FM/CD with remote.
The car has an alarm system as well.
This is a very, very nice car that needs ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! It does not pretend to be a show winning restoration, nor does the price reflect that; though it shows very, very well indeed.
There are a few minor flaws, but, on the whole; the car is truly exceptional.
This is simply an extra nice ’65 convertible that can be enjoyed daily and driven anywhere.
$35,750.00 or reasonable close offers considered.

We have lost another great ambassador for motorsports. I have fond memories of Paul when he would stop by Milestone Racing garage, Route 7 , Wilton, Conn. Arriving incognito driving his VW bug complete with Porsche engine, just to check out our 1968 Porsche 911 # 7 Trans Am winning racer.
Another special time, Paul asked me to spend a day with him at Ontario Motor Speedway, Ontario, Ca. to coach and help sharpen his driving skills with his Corvette. I spent many laps following him around in a CHP patrol car, judging his driving lines, complete with siren and flashing patrol car lights blazing. It was a sight to behold, Paul became a world wide accomplished racing driver. His legacy will continue to live on.
Thanks Paul for the memories, my sincere condolences to his family for their loss.

If you have not been fortunate enough to attend the Auto Show without millions….ok, thousands of people being there; it is a treat. We went last year without the crowds it really is a great show. Being able to actually see the cars and, even better, donating to a great charitable cause is the way to go!!!!
Business/cocktail attire is preferred. Tickets are available at $100.00 per person and $75.00 is tax deductible and you get to actually see the cars!
Tickets can be purchased now by calling CHOC All Guilds representative Patti Buckley at 562.947.0712, or by visiting www.chocallguildsevent.org

Did we mention that you get to see the cars?
See you there!

Finding adjectives for cars this good can be difficult. How does one fully describe this kind of attention to detail in a car? “Must see” does not really cut it.
This 1969 Camaro convertible is simply beyond fantastic!
This car was built for a local Orange County resident, pampered by Bill Burton himself and with an interior done by one of the worlds finest craftsmen….”GABE”; remember Boyd Coddington’s show?, that’s the guy!
The list of extraordinary parts used in the build is simply too long to post here. Start with a VRBANCIC BROS. built 490 c.i. big block with an astounding dyno’d 536 h.p at 5400 revs and 620 lb. ft. of torque at 4000 rev’s and this thing could pull a house. Add to that a built 4L80-E gearbox by the “Toy Shop” and yes, it is very, very quick.
Big brakes, great suspension, compliant enough, but ready for corners as well.
The chassis is as clean as the rest of the car. The interior- pretty much self explanatory from the pictures. The Stereo will wake neighbors for miles; crisp, clean and powerful. Would one expect anything less?
It took well North of $100,000.00 to build this terrific car; well North!
Realistic offers exceeding $87,500.00 will be considered. Please, no trades; thanks.

SOLD!!!!
This 1979 MBZ 450SL is a two owner car and comes with all records and books.
The car is in excellent condition and needs nothing to be enjoyed right away.
The Transmission has just been rebuilt by Ron Erickson of Exclusive Motors in Orange County Ca. One of the finest MBZ technicians around! Only 500 miles have been put on the car since the rebuild. Mechanically the car is SOUND. It runs and drives very nicely indeed.
The paint is almost flawless. There has been some minor paint work done to the car in its long history, but, it has been around for a while. To look at the car however, one would be hard press to fault the paint at all.
The interior is also nearly flawless with the exception of minor seat wear on the driver’s seat bolster edge…pretty normal. The car also comes with a brand new set of floor mats…still in plastic and a car cover
The top is as new!!!! It may have been put up for the first time, just yesterday ??? The rear top glass is perfect as is the canvas.
The car does come with both tops and the release mechanism works perfectly.
Are 450SL’s one of the next collectable cars? In this condition, perhaps.

SOLD!!!!
Literally found in a service station in Texas some 20 years ago, acquired by its current owner and stored in a dry storage environment for the same amount of time; this wonderful Healey 3000 underwent a body off restoration a couple of years ago and is in excellent condition. The car is believed to have only 28,000 original miles.
During the restoration the engine was re-freshed with no machine work needing to be performed. The crankshaft and pistons measure .oo. The engine has only minor oil seepage, fairly normal for this marque.
This lovely car is finished in British Racing Green with Black hides.
It runs terrific, though a bit cold blooded on initial cold start. There s no rust, no corrosion and the chassis is dry. There is also no sign of accident damage.
The bad: The tachometer is currently in-operative. The speedometer just quit working a few weeks ago, probable cable. The Fuel gauge is a bit erratic and will not always show fuel level.
Other than the minor challenges stated above, the car is in very good order indeed. Ready for tour or show.
This is a great car!!!
